Symatrix fuels ERP growth strategy with key leadership appointment of Sheila Bilung

Sheila Bilung to spearhead ambitious push for ERP to contribute 50% of company’s total revenues.

Symatrix, a leading provider of IT and managed services, has announced a key strategic initiative to expand its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) practice, spearheaded by Sheila Bilung, the company’s newly-appointed ERP Practice Lead.

This development is part of Symatrix' growth strategy, which is on track to meet its target for ERP to contribute 30% of its total revenue this financial year. Now, under Bilung’s leadership, Symatrix is pursuing an even more ambitious goal – aiming for 50% of the company’s revenue to come from its ERP services in the coming years.

Overall, Bilung brings nearly two decades of hands-on experience with Oracle ERP to this task having led large-scale ERP implementations across a wide range of industries. Her career has spanned development, consulting and implementation, with a focus on delivering tailored ERP solutions across core business areas including finance, procurement, supply chain and project accounting.

Prior to joining Symatrix, Bilung built a strong track record across a range of blue-chip companies, including Tesco Bank, Accenture, and Grant Thornton, where she played a pivotal role in establishing and scaling ERP practices.

Symatrix already has a strong foothold in the ERP managed services space, supporting clients with the maintenance and optimisation of their existing Oracle finance implementations. Driven by Bilung’s leadership, Symatrix is set to expand its ERP capabilities beyond managed services and single ERP module implementations into full-scale ERP implementation projects.

To facilitate this expansion, Symatrix will invest in developing implementation “accelerators” and industry-specific templates designed to streamline the process, reduce costs, and minimise risks associated with ERP deployments for businesses.

“I am thrilled to join Symatrix at such an exciting time,” said Bilung. “We are at the forefront of bringing ERP solutions to a broader client base, and our acquisition by AST, a leading name in Oracle ERP implementation, will enable us to leverage their extensive expertise and resources. Together, we are well-positioned to deliver tailored, scalable ERP solutions that meet the complex needs of modern businesses.”

Symatrix’ ERP growth strategy is strengthened by the support from its parent company AST, following its acquisition in May 2024. The company has access to AST's deep expertise including 1,000 Oracle experts, proven methodologies, and extensive client network in the ERP space.

Chris Brooks, managing director, Symatrix, commented: “Sheila’s appointment is critical to our ERP growth strategy. Her in-depth experience, together with our additional scale and expertise through AST, ensures that Symatrix is well-equipped to meet the rising demand for ERP solutions. We are excited about the future and substantial growth this will drive for the company as we continue to help businesses optimise their operations.”
