You should always look at competitors to get a feel of the right phrases and keywords. Type them into Google and start making a list of 30-50 keywords and you should feel a pattern emerging.

Your next job is to incorporate these 30-50 keywords naturally into various landing pages and guides within your website. The short tail words can be included in landing pages and the longer phrases and questions can be included in guides.
If you are trying to rank on Google for terms like divorce lawyer, you don't need 30 pages all about divorce lawyers, but you can create a very strong landing page that covers a lot of information about your divorce lawyer services, how they can get in touch and some FAQs. Then you might need some guides to supplement this phrase with different questions.
In short, do not overkill with lots of pages saying the same thing over and over. But rather, create pages with different services that you offer and use guides to add to the proposition that you are a resource.
3. Trust Signals
There are a number of trust signals which help your SEO campaign in the early stages that Google certainly takes note of, especially in the recent March/April core algorithm update.
