Interview with Dmitry Khanukov: How Artificial Intelligence is Transforming Everyday Life at Breakneck Speed

Dmitry Khanukov | Co-founder & CTO at Dwelly

Dmitry is a seasoned entrepreneur and the co-founder and CTO of Dwelly — a UK-based AI-enabled letting and property management marketplace. With a successful exit under his belt and over 20 years of experience in commercial development, he boasts extensive expertise in building and launching B2B tech products, AI platforms, and B2C marketplaces

Artificial intelligence is accelerating changes in our everyday lives at breakneck speed. My prediction is that in 2025, we’ll witness a significant surge in sophisticated AI-driven assistants and fully autonomous services capable of taking on many routine tasks we grapple with today.

1. Autonomous AI Agents

We’re already witnessing the rise of systems that, instead of waiting for our commands, initiate tasks independently. These systems can sift through vast amounts of data, interact with other software, and even start conversations without direct user prompts. This will dramatically streamline business processes and enhance convenience for everyone. Imagine focusing on your core responsibilities while your “smart” assistant handles errands such as booking medical appointments, reserving tables at restaurants, or finding the perfect travel tickets.

2. Autonomous Transportation

I’m convinced that this year, robo-taxis will cease to be a novelty, at least in major cities. As driverless vehicles become more widespread, competition will naturally drive costs down—not just for ride-hailing services but also across the delivery, logistics, and manufacturing sectors. Automation will take over many tasks that previously required human oversight, paving the way for a more efficient transportation ecosystem.

3. Personal AI Assistants on Smartphones

Smartphones will evolve into genuine personal assistants capable of analyzing habits, adapting to various lifestyles, and offering incredibly precise recommendations. Each user will have the option to decide how much personal data to share with these assistants. Some may allow them to read emails and listen to conversations, enabling automatic responses or even the management of social media accounts without constant user input.

4. Global Transformation of Business Processes

Companies across industries are reengineering workflows using AI and LLM technologies, thereby boosting productivity and profitability. In the small-business arena, this trend will foster competition, driving down costs for everyday consumers while enabling greater innovation.

5. AI in Medicine

Machine learning is already assisting doctors with diagnoses and interpreting lab results. By 2025, these systems will become even more accurate and accessible, facilitating efficient treatment plans and streamlining preliminary examinations. The result? Faster and better medical support—even in regions that have historically faced challenges with reliable healthcare.

I see these developments as incredible opportunities for all of us—provided we use AI responsibly and remain mindful of its ethical implications. One thing is certain: this 2025, artificial intelligence will be more deeply interwoven into our daily lives than it has ever been.
